Joseph Camara is an Artist and Jeweller from Queensland who lives and works in Melbourne. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Queensland College of Art. His work draws on both global and local art-historical contexts and explores conceptual art and expanded painting. Camara reworks and isolates elements from daily life through careful observation and reflection, challenging the usual properties of these objects and offering a broader view and appreciation of their environment once re-exposed. These elements may include everyday urban infrastructure or naturally occurring or industrial building materials.
